WEBINAR - The Gospel of Ruth
In her two recently published works on the book of Ruth (The Gospel of Ruth and Finding God in the Margins), author Carolyn Custis James unearths startling new insights from this short Old Testament story. She reintroduces us to Ruth—a leader who takes the initiative, even with Boaz; and to Naomi—the female counterpart to Job; and to Boaz—the powerful leader in Bethlehem who boldly regards Ruth as "a woman of valor." Since Ruth, like Jesus, lives outside the box, Ruth's love for Yahweh and Naomi compels her to break the rules of social and religious convention at nearly every turn. Ruth's partnership with Boaz models the kind of male/female relationships that the gospel intends for all who follow Jesus. Come hear Carolyn James "live" at Right On Mission.
