DESCRIPTION:  In 2016, a Gallup Poll showed that while 79% of Americans believe in God, only 61% believe in the existence of the devil. So secularized is society that it almost comes across as superstitious to make mention of the supernatural realm. In polite company, to speak of "the devil" is to lose credibility; strikingly, however, to refer to "systemic evil" is perfectly apropos since people assume the problem is "the system." What is systemic evil? Is structural evil demonic? Is institutional power connected to the power of Satan? The Bible mentions "the devil" thirty-four times in the New Testament. It also talks about "demons" and "the serpent" and "the evil one." In this webinar, we will take a careful look at Scripture, think Christianly about the reality of corruption, and end with an urgent call for prayer.
