Tom Okarma has spent the last decade serving on and leading numerous nonprofit boards. He’s been there, done that, and learned critical lessons about effective leadership and board effectiveness.  Tom has published two books on board governance: From the Inside Out: Leading Where it Matters Most: The How-to Guide to Leading Nonprofits for Impact and Break Through the ICK Factors.

Tom is a sage for senior leaders and provides senior staff members, stakeholders and boards with understanding and a kind, discerning ear.  He has worked with The Barnabas Group, TMCI International, Bright Hope International, Lawndale Christian Legal Center, People’s Resource Center, Christian Leadership Alliance, and others.
