Sarah Sumner, Founder & President

Sarah's mission is to build integrity in the Church.


Dr. Sarah Sumner is a woman of moral courage and moral authority.  In her unfolding life of repentance, her story is of God's graciousness in teaching her to walk by faith, not sight.  Sarah has know-how and experience in the risk-taking activity of thinking Christianly.  Her expertise allows her to write mission statements, be a strategic futurist, work as a consultant, and teach and inspire people as a visionary leader.  Sarah is also a convener of National Roundtable discussions.  She has also worked as an aerobics instructor for over twenty-five years so far. 


Dr. Sumner is the first woman to earn a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where she also earned her MDiv Equivalent and served as teaching assistant for Carl F.H. Henry.  Her MA in Theology is from Wheaton College, her MBA from Azusa Pacific University, and her B.A. in Education from Baylor University.  Dr. Sumner was trained as a global change agent at Harvard University.  


Her past includes serving on the evangelism staff at Willow Creek Community Church, in national sales for InterVarsity Press, and as the entrepreneurial dean of A.W. Tozer Theological Seminary who broke three all-time records in 34 years in her first sixteen months on the job.  About once a year, she helps train budding lawyers at Trinity Law School.


Sarah and her husband, Jim, live in Northern California.

Jim Sumner, Business Manager

Jim's mission is to feed God's truth to the hungry.


Jim wears multiple hats at Right On Mission:  He's the Business Manager, the Asst. Operations Manager, and a member of the Speaking Team and Consulting Team.  His expertise includes preaching, administration, children's ministry, facilities management, and analytical thinking.


Jim has a B.S. from Illinois State University, an M.A. from Azusa Pacific University, and an M.A. from A.W. Tozer Theological Seminary.


Jim's primary background as a non-Christian was in professional entertainment.  After he came to Christ, he worked on church staff, then later became an adjunct faculty member at Simpson University and a Bible Study Fellowship leader.

Jim and Sarah live in Redding, CA.

Pakou Vang, Operations Manager & Executive Assistant to the President (On Maternity Leave)

Pakou's mission is to find redemptive solutions for people.


Pakou manages the operations at Right On Mission, provides structure and artistry for our website, and also runs our virtual office.  She has expertise in structural development, academic services, administrative organization, process management, infrastructure development, and pastoral and executive assistance.  Pakou also serves as the Executive Assistant to Dr. Sarah Sumner.


Her education includes a B.A. from Simpson University and an M.Div. from A.W. Tozer Theological Seminary.


Pakou and her husband live in Minnesota. They serve in various leadership roles within the Christian & Missionary Alliance denomination.

Vivian Vu, Interim Executive Assistant to the President & Office Manager & Registrar

Vivian's mission is to help others interface with Christ.

Vivian is the new Office Manager and Interim Executive Assistant to the President while Pakou is out on maternity leave.  Vivian brings rich expertise to ROM that includes change management, process management, project management, corporate training & communications, administrative organization, and pastoral and executive assistance. 


She earned a B.A. from the University of California Irvine and gained additional on-the-job training in the tech world.


In 2012, Vivian left her full-time corporate role to be at home to raise her boys.  She volunteers in Student Ministries and Divorce Care at Bridges Community Church (Los Altos), makes time for travel, and enjoys people as she prioritizes God.


Vivian and her family live in the San Francisco Bay area.

Lisa Orimoto, Senior Associate

Lisa’s mission is to persuade people to dare to develop their creative potential.


Lisa Orimoto, Ph.D., is a mission statement writer, faculty member, consultant, and promoter for Right On Mission in Hawaii and the Pacific Rim.  She is a formally trained scientist whose expertise includes human development, communication, strategic planning, and relational dynamics.

Dr. Lisa's education includes a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of the Pacific, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Studies from the University of Hawaii.  She holds an associates coaching credential (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation and is a certified Birkman consultant.  

Lisa is a clinical psychologist and executive coach who co-founded Higher Ground International, a roundtable and coaching organization for Christian business leaders.  She lives in Honolulu with her husband.

Matthew Sayovitz, IT Expert

Matthew's mission is to enhance the work of those who are building God's Kingdom.


Matthew's role is to oversee the technology at Right On Mission and serve as a faculty member in our Seminary.  He has a broad diversity of experience and expertise in software development and implementation in the non-profit, education, online learning, financial and HRIS sectors.  He has also worked on campus with college students. 


Matthew's education includes a BA and MBA from Azusa Pacific University.


Matthew does extensive volunteer service for his local church, para-church ministries, and also for community enterprises.  He lives with his growing family in Southern California.
