Sarah's mission is to build integrity in the Church.
Dr. Sarah Sumner is a woman of moral courage and moral authority. In her unfolding life of repentance, her story is of God's graciousness in teaching her to walk by faith, not sight. Sarah has know-how and experience in the risk-taking activity of thinking Christianly. Her expertise allows her to write mission statements, be a strategic futurist, work as a consultant, and teach and inspire people as a visionary leader. Sarah is also a convener of National Roundtable discussions. She has also worked as an aerobics instructor for over twenty-five years so far.
Dr. Sumner is the first woman to earn a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where she also earned her MDiv Equivalent and served as teaching assistant for Carl F.H. Henry. Her MA in Theology is from Wheaton College, her MBA from Azusa Pacific University, and her B.A. in Education from Baylor University. Dr. Sumner was trained as a global change agent at Harvard University.
Her past includes serving on the evangelism staff at Willow Creek Community Church, in national sales for InterVarsity Press, and as the entrepreneurial dean of A.W. Tozer Theological Seminary who broke three all-time records in 34 years in her first sixteen months on the job. About once a year, she helps train budding lawyers at Trinity Law School.
Sarah and her husband, Jim, live in Northern California.
